Clark County Gun Club - Range Safety Officer

Qualified Range Safety Officers (RSO) are a critical element to any safe shooting range. RSOs oversee the firing lines to ensure that a safe environment is maintained, help shooters with a variety of questions or problems, remind shooters and visitors of range rules and are the final authority on the firing line.

CCGC requires NRA certification prior to becoming an RSO. We hold regularly scheduled NRA RSO classes that allow successful graduates to be a RSO at most ranges. As with other ranges, CCGC does range-specific training to ensure RSOs understand the unique requirements of our range. See more details about the RSO class and Contact Us if you are interested in applying to become a RSO at CCGC.

By your becoming a CCGC Range Safety Officer and volunteering your services to the Range you not only put your skills to good use, you become eligible for special considerations. While RSO compensation will evolve over time, some of the benefits you could receive include:

  • No-charge targets

  • No-charge entry into competitions

  • No-charge firearms rentals (plus discounted ammunition)

  • Additional discounts for other purchases

  • Discounted class fees

  • The number and value of the above will be based on the amount of time you commit to providing RSO services at the Range.
